Always Tired?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Do you ever just feel tired? Seriously tired. A tired that a nap cannot cure. Have you every felt tired in your soul?

Life has a way of wearing us down. Draining the life, joy, and peace from us. Whether it’s a major catastrophe or just the stress of burning the candle at both ends, the cares of this life can weigh us down. And if we’re not careful, the enemy can exploit our fatigue and steal from us.

Luke 8:14 and 21:34 both warn us that the cares of life, even the busyness of good things, can cause us to miss the will of God for our lives.

The enemy’s plan is to rob us of the truth of God’s Word and keep it from taking root in our hearts. To keep us so busy and distracted that we abandon the foundational truths. That we are made for God; to love Him and be loved by Him. We are made to serve Him, and receive from Him; to know Him and be know by Him.

Christ is the cure for our tired souls.

He says, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest for your soul.” (Matt. 11:28)

So in the hurry of your days, always remember that time with God is a fundamental necessity to energize your soul. Don’t allow the enemy to reduce it to simply another item on the to-do list. The enemy cannot steal your peace, but he can convince you to forfeit it.

The rest and peace our souls crave is only found one place: His Presence.
