“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the Law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-whatever they do prospers”
~Psalm 1:1-3
The focus of our heart needs to be fixed on Jesus in order to attain true success. God’s pathway to success is achieved by obeying His word throughout a lifetime. How are you doing? Are the things of this world preventing you from achieving true success? We have a water source: Jesus Christ- the Living Water. Are we taping into Him daily?
This, my dear sisters, spoke directly to my heart when I read it today. We all yearn to be successful in life- to have a successful life and live with purpose, but we can easily get caught up trying to do everything on our own and slowly forget God’s perspective on success. How do we love others? Do we give of our time, finances, and/or resources when God asks us to? Do we see others the way God sees them- created in His image? Do we extend peace to those that are worried and anxious? Are we giving people hope by sharing who Jesus Christ is? Do we love ourselves the way Jesus loves us? Have we accepted the Grace of God in our lives?
These are all ways that we can have a “successful” life. The world’s definition of success is temporary and will one day fade, however, serving and loving people is how we become the hands & feet of Jesus! Let‘s redefine the word “success” and live a purposeful life that draws others to Jesus Christ♥️
