There is an amazing truth as Christians that I didn’t really discover until the last few years- it’s wonderful! God wants us to know this truth, believe it and grow in our relationship with Him, a personal, close intimate relationship. He has set you as a seal over His ♥️ heart – He is madly, passionately, in love with you! How do I know? Let me start off with saying a foundational truth – you didn’t find Jesus, He found you! You weren’t ever good enough for Him to save you from sin, I don’t care how good you were, you were a sinner saved by grace! you see He made you in the secret place and knew you before you were born, He called you by name. Your spirit (who you are) was with God before you were ever born and He loved you, He had a purpose for you to come to earth and live for Him, to forsake the things of the world and choose Him! you were born and God kept calling you, He never took His eye off of you! Yes, even when you sinned.
The Apostle Paul said. When it was pleasing to God He revealed Himself to me. Did God know Saul would arrest and put Christian’s to death? Absolutely, there is nothing hidden from His sight. Paul calls himself an apostle, one untimely born- the only real reference to the former self in a sense of regret. But that didn’t stop this man from fully serving God, from proclaiming this Jesus with whom he vehemently was formerly against – his eyes now opened to Jesus the Christ the Savior of the world! paul didn’t stumble and stay stuck in His past, in fact he wasted no time but was determined to show how Christ redeems! II Timothy chapter one say, we have a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began (verse 9)
Additionally, Ephesians chapter two verse one says, And you He made who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience…(4) but God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) and raised us up together, AND MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS (emphasis mine)
so, my sweet sisters, who are you?
not a sinner, not walking in dead works, not walking according to this world! No! you are saved, born again, made brand new, seated with Christ (that’s amazing) in heavenly places! Not because you were ever good enough but because you are deeply passionately loved- Jesus sought you out, the Holy Spirit revealed Jesus to you and now you are reconciled to God through Jesus – forever! The work was completed By Jesus! You are His and He is yours! Made perfect in His sight, you are the bride of Christ!
