Don’t Stay Bamboozled

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The world we live in is growing darker and darker. You are not imagining it. It is the truth of what is happening. We can see it. We are experiencing it. Growing darker in the sense of people being deceived and with more and more evil showing its ugly head. God told us this would happen.
In Matthew 24 verse 4 Jesus answered, “Be careful that no one fools you. 5Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will fool many people. 6You will hear about wars and stories of wars that are coming, but don’t be afraid. These things must happen before the end comes. 7Nations will fight against other nations; kingdoms will fight against other kingdoms. There will be times when there is no food for people to eat, and there will be earthquakes in different places. 8These things are like the first pains when something new is about to be born.12There will be more and more evil in the world, so most people will stop showing their love for each other. 13But those people who keep their faith until the end will be saved. 14The Good News about God’s kingdom will be preached in all the world, to every nation. Then the end will come.

15“Daniel the prophet spoke about ‘a blasphemous object that brings destruction.’ You will see this standing in the holy place.”

An increase in lawlessness, selfishness and narcissism will be prevalent.

II Timothy 3:1-5 says it like this :

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

People will be

lovers of themselves,

lovers of money,

boasters,

proud,

blasphemers,

disobedient to parents,

unthankful,

unholy,

unloving,

unforgiving,

slanderers,

without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.

And from such people turn away!

2 Timothy 3:13 says that during this time evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. Deceive means to lie to; to hide the truth; mislead by deliberate misrepresentation; to cause to believe what is false; to disbelieve what is true; to cheat; to ensnare. Being deceived keeps you in darkness.

We ALL need the TRUTH to be set free. The truth about ourselves. The truth about being in the dark without Jesus. When you respond to the LIGHT (Jesus is the Light of the world) you are called out of the darkness. Don’t be bamboozled by the deception of the enemy of our souls but come to JESUS, the Light, and know the TRUTH(Jesus) that sets you free. The truth that you need your sins forgiven to no longer be separated from God. The truth that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the LIFE. We all know living things die in the dark. Come to the LIGHT and LIVE.
